If so, Wagner Reese wants you to join our team!  Wagner Reese is a well-established plaintiff's personal injury law firm that has been serving clients in and around central Indiana for more than 22 years.  Our growing firm is hiring an experienced litigation associate attorney to join our personal injury law firm in our Carmel, Indiana, office, handling significant injury and death cases.

As a litigation associate attorney at Wagner Reese, you will work closely with our senior attorneys to represent clients in court, conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and negotiate settlements. You will also have the opportunity to build relationships with clients and help them navigate the complex legal system.

Requirements

TYPICAL TASKS, DUTIES & EXPECTATIONS

• Assisting with new client intakes, initial assessment of claims, including rotational afterhours/on-call hours;
• Assisting with preliminary investigation, research and review of new claims;
• Preparing and drafting complaints, written discovery, demand letters and briefs;
• Preparing for, take and defend a variety of depositions;
• Attending mediations;
• Drafting top-notch motions and briefs;
• First and second chair jury trials;
• Working a case from beginning to end with limited supervision;
• Occasionally supporting and working with equity partners on large cases, as needed; and
• Preparing and executing a personal marketing plan with the input and approval of the equity partners.
